Wateraid – Global Strategy
We communicated the story of Grace, a girl who misses school because she has to walk miles to find water so dirty it could kill her.
We’ve been lucky enough to work for Wateraid since the first few months of Dazzle Ship’s formation. Over the years we’ve worked on numerous campaigns and helped them communicate their positive messages to the masses. 2015 was a new milestone in this relationship when Wateraid asked us to take care of the showpiece for their new global campaign strategy.
We used illustration and character animation combined with motion graphics to tell the story of Grace. A girl who misses school because she has to walk miles to find water so dirty it could kill her. She’s strong and independent – she has to be to survive. But without water and sanitation, her dreams could come to nothing. Grace’s is the story of hundreds of millions of people around the world – people who will stay trapped in poverty for want of a tap and a toilet.
WaterAid work so that everyone, everywhere can have access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education by 2030. Together we believe that Grace and her family can escape poverty when they have access to these essential resources.
